Abu Dhabi Rejects Allegations About Iranian Attack
The government of the United Arab Emirates has strongly rejected statements made by Israeli officials regarding alleged Iranian attacks. Officials in Abu Dhabi said the claims were false and accused Israel of spreading misinformation.
According to the Emirati statement, the reports suggested that Iran had carried out an attack involving the UAE. Authorities in Abu Dhabi dismissed the claims and said there was no truth to the reports.
The response came after comments attributed to a senior Israeli official. The remarks reportedly described Israel’s position on the situation and included references to alleged Iranian actions.
However, Emirati officials said such statements were inaccurate and misleading. They stressed that spreading false information could create unnecessary tensions in the region.
Authorities in Abu Dhabi also said the claims could negatively affect diplomatic relations between countries.
Abu Dhabi Stresses Sovereignty and Independent Decision-Making
Officials from Abu Dhabi emphasised that the UAE makes its own decisions regarding regional issues. They strongly rejected any suggestion that another country could speak on their behalf.
In the statement, Emirati authorities questioned Israel’s right to present the UAE’s position publicly. They said the UAE is a sovereign nation and determines its policies independently.
“Who are you to tell us our position?” the statement said while criticising the Israeli remarks.
The government also accused Israeli sources of circulating rumours related to the actions of a sovereign state. Officials warned that spreading such narratives could harm diplomatic communication.
The UAE said constructive dialogue is essential for regional stability. It added that inaccurate statements undermine trust between countries.
Tensions Rise Over Reports Linking UAE to Regional Conflict
The dispute emerged after reports circulated linking the UAE to a reported attack by Iran. Emirati officials strongly denied any involvement and labelled the claims baseless.
Authorities said the reports created confusion and misrepresented the UAE’s stance. They urged responsible communication during a period of heightened regional tensions.
The statement also warned that such behaviour could damage relations with Israel.
Diplomatic ties between the UAE and Israel have experienced significant changes in recent years. However, disagreements over regional developments have occasionally created friction.
Officials in Abu Dhabi said maintaining stability in the Middle East requires responsible statements from all sides. They emphasised the need to avoid spreading rumours that could escalate tensions.
The UAE reiterated that it remains committed to peaceful relations and constructive diplomacy. However, it stressed that misleading claims about the country will not be accepted.
