Dubai has introduced the long-term ‘Dubai Gaming Visa’ to bolster the e-gaming sector by supporting talented individuals, creators, and innovators. Similar to the golden visa, this gaming visa, managed by Dubai Culture, offers a 10-year validity period.
The goal of this initiative is to foster skill development and provide ample investment opportunities, enabling individuals to translate innovative ideas into successful projects.
Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, highlighted that the Dubai Gaming Visa aligns with the vision of Dubai’s Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It aims to attract entrepreneurs, investors, game developers, designers, and programmers, solidifying Dubai’s status as a premier destination.
Badri emphasized Dubai’s commitment to attracting skilled individuals and supporting comprehensive development, aiming to become a global hub for the creative economy by 2026.
To apply for the Dubai Gaming Visa, individuals can visit the Dubai Culture website or https://dubaigaming.gov.ae/.
Application Procedure:
- Submit application via the website
- Receive application status notification via email
- Obtain the ‘Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate’

Terms and Conditions:
- Approval or permit issuance from Dubai Culture is conditional and not final.
- Applicants must be 25 years and above.
- Dubai Culture reserves the right to reject applications without providing reasons.
- Applications must be submitted personally; no submissions by companies or service centers are accepted.
The Dubai Gaming Visa falls under the multi-year cultural visa categories granted by Dubai Culture and GDRFA-Dubai, covering various sectors like cultural heritage, performing arts, visual arts, media, and design. It aims to enrich Dubai’s cultural and creative landscape, aligning with the city’s strategic goals of becoming a top destination for living, entertainment, and employment.
The Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, initiated by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, targets positioning Dubai among the top 10 cities in the global gaming industry. It aims to boost the sector’s contribution to the digital economy and create approximately $1 billion in GDP by 2033.
Additionally, Dubai aims to add 30,000 new jobs in the e-gaming sector by 2033, demonstrating its strong support for the industry’s growth through various initiatives and events.
