The U.S. Immigration Department has announced a stricter immigration policy, implementing tighter regulations for visa and green card holders, and warning of intensified enforcement measures for those violating U.S. laws.
Under the new directive, any individual involved in terrorism, promoting violence, or related activities will face immediate disqualification from remaining in the country. This includes potential deportation and revocation of immigration status.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stressed that individuals residing in the United States without legal documentation will now be treated as criminal offenders under federal law. He added that any breach of U.S. law—regardless of the severity—could result in the cancellation of visas or green cards.
The revised policy also places stricter scrutiny on student visa applicants. Authorities have stated that visas may be denied to applicants suspected of planning to engage in protests or incite civil unrest while studying in the U.S.
The new measures reflect a broader push by the U.S. government to enforce immigration laws more rigorously, with a focus on national security, public safety, and adherence to legal processes.
