Tweets of Miftah Ismail and Khawaja Asif on rain and floods go viral

ISLAMABAD: The tweets of former PML-N Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, now an estranged leader, and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif have gone viral on the social media platform. Both have raised the issues of deadly rains and floods.
In his tweet, Miftah Ismail shared a video of Karachi wherein, cars and bikes are seen under four to five feet of rain water, whereas, Khawaja Asif targets KPK, saying cut the trees, make hotels on rivers and the result will indeed be the destruction and devastation.
Miftah said, “Which province is better _ Sindh under PPP, Punjab under PML-N, and KPK under PTI?”

He, nonetheless, shared a heart-wrenching video of vehicles on a famous road with four to five feet of rainwater. Miftah did not share anything about the rain’s devastation in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. In both provinces, more than 700 people have lost their lives in the recent torrential rain, floods, and landslides. KPK has reported over 450 casualties, the highest-ever in comparison with any other province.

The PML-N estranged stalwarts Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail have formed their political party, Pakistan Awam, after quitting the PML-N.
