The long-awaited Trump Mobile T1 smartphone is now expected to launch in March, with its price set at $499, according to a recent media report citing company representatives. The device, previously marketed under shifting timelines, appears to be nearing release as it enters its final development phase.
Originally announced as the Trump Mobile T1, the Android-based smartphone has faced multiple delays since its initial unveiling. A customer service representative confirmed that the handset will run on Android 15 and will retain a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature increasingly rare in modern smartphones.
The March launch timeline, however, remains conditional. Company sources say the phone must still complete final certification and field testing before it can be released commercially. This includes securing Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approval, which is required for devices sold and operated in the United States.
The smartphone is expected to retail at $499, placing it in the mid-range segment of the market. While early marketing materials claimed the device would be fully โMade in the USA,โ the company has since revised its messaging to โAmerican-Proud Design.โ This reflects the global nature of smartphone manufacturing, with components sourced internationally but final assembly reportedly taking place in the US.
Trump Mobile began accepting $100 preorders for the rose gold version of the handset in June 2025, though it has provided limited updates on production progress since then. Despite the delays, the company continues to promote its mobile service offering, branded as โThe 47 Plan,โ which is compatible with a range of existing smartphones, including Samsung Galaxy S24 models and Appleโs iPhone 14 and 15.
The upcoming launch will place the Trump Mobile T1 in an increasingly competitive market, especially as newer Android versions are already on the horizon. With Google expected to roll out Android 17 in the near future, the device will face pressure to differentiate itself beyond branding and messaging.
If launched as planned in March, the Trump Mobile T1 will mark the companyโs first major hardware release, bringing an unconventional new entrant into the crowded US smartphone landscape.
