Former US President Donald Trump sharply criticized major television networks on Sunday, accusing them of spreading biased coverage against him.
Allegations Shared on Truth Social Platform
In a post on Truth Social, his own social media company, Trump claimed that ABC and NBC focus overwhelmingly on negative stories about his presidency. Moreover, he emphasized that despite his reported popularity and, in his words, “one of the greatest 8 months in Presidential History,” the two broadcasters gave him “97% bad stories.”
Trump Labels Networks as Politically Aligned
Furthermore, Trump alleged that these networks operate as “an arm of the Democrat Party.” According to him, this partisan alignment poses a threat to democracy itself.
Call for License Revocation Gains Attention
In addition, Trump suggested that the Federal Communications Commission should revoke their broadcast licenses. He argued that the bias was not only misleading but also harmful to democratic values. Nevertheless, this claim echoed his long-standing battle with mainstream media outlets.
History of Criticism Against Mainstream Media
Trump has consistently criticized traditional media, branding unfavorable reporting as “fake news.” Consequently, his ongoing confrontation with broadcasters continues to fuel political debate.
