ISLAMABAD: New Toshakhana records for the OctoberโDecember 2025 quarter have surfaced, listing valuable gifts received by senior Pakistani leaders, according to the Cabinet Division. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi were among those who received items, all of which were deposited in the Toshakhana.
Other recipients included the First Lady, IT Minister Shaza Fatima, Power Minister Awais Leghari, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar. In addition, several high-ranking officials, such as Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, the Presidentโs Military Secretary, Presidentโs Spokesperson Murtaza Solangi, the Auditor General of Pakistan, and secretaries from key ministries, also received gifts during the quarter.
Gifts included diverse items such as models of Roza-e-Rasool, Khana Kaaba, and Makkah Mukarramah, paintings, perfumes, shields, carpets, tea sets, swords, daggers, vases, watches, decorative pieces, Saudi coffee, books, royal caps, souvenirs, table clocks, Metro Bus models, coffee pots, shirts, musical instruments, blankets, scarves, and ties. Cabinet Division documents indicate that the government is currently assessing the value of the items and reviewing related procedures.
Details of notable gifts show President Zardari received items ranging from decorative plates, oud wood incense, and a model of Nimrud to prayer beads and a robe. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif obtained a Metro Bus model, models of Makkah Mukarramah, silver vases, tea sets, and a portrait. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received a Rolex watch, shawl, perfume pack, and Loro Piana fabric, while other ministers and officials received perfumes, souvenirs, shawls, and other decorative pieces.
The Cabinet Division has made Toshakhana records from 2002 to September 2025 publicly available, and records from 1997 to 2001 have also been released. The latest disclosure excludes gift-giversโ names, unlike prior reports for JanuaryโJune 2025.
