ISLAMABAD: The Organic Meat Company Limited, listed at the Pakistan Stock Exchange, has announced a breakthrough in its global expansion efforts, becoming the first Pakistani meat processing and export company to be approved for direct exports to Carrefour Majid Al-Futtaim – Hyper Market LLC across the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The approval comes after TOMCL successfully passed Carrefour’s rigorous Systems, Hygiene, and Operational Excellence Audit, achieving an impressive score of 94.89%, the company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The audit confirmed TOMCL’s full compliance with international quality and operational standards, enabling the company to join Carrefour’s approved vendor list for its entire UAE retail network, according to a report published today by Mettis Global.
This development marks a significant milestone for TOMCL, solidifying its position as a reliable halal meat supplier for leading Middle Eastern retail chains. It is also expected to:
- Boost export volumes
- Enable the introduction of premium product lines
- Strengthen brand visibility in international retail and foodservice markets
- Deepen market presence across the UAE
In a statement, TOMCL’s management described the achievement as a reflection of their unwavering commitment to international quality, traceability, and food safety standards.
