TikTok personality and social media influencer Alina Amir has broken her silence on viral claims regarding an alleged leaked video attributed to her, categorically denying the allegations and confirming that the circulating content is artificially generated using artificial intelligence (AI).
In a detailed video statement shared on Instagram, Alina explained that she initially chose to remain silent despite widespread online speculation. She said she observed the situation for nearly a week without reacting, hoping the matter would subside on its own. However, she decided to speak out after witnessing a surge in misleading posts falsely claiming that her video had been leaked.
Alina strongly condemned the misuse of AI technology, warning that unchecked misinformation can irreparably damage reputations. She urged social media users to act responsibly and verify content before sharing it, stressing that spreading unverified or AI-generated material is harmful and unethical.
Making a direct appeal to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Alina called for strict legal action against individuals who create and circulate AI-based illicit content targeting women. She described such acts as a serious form of harassment that must be dealt with firmly under the law.
She also acknowledged the efforts of the Crime Control Department (CCD), particularly in handling harassment and child abuse cases, and urged CCD head Sohail Zafar Chattha to personally oversee investigations related to AI-generated abuse.
Alina emphasized that the issue extends far beyond celebrities, noting that private individuals often suffer even more severe consequences when fabricated content reaches their families and communities. While she expressed gratitude for her family’s support, she questioned how women without similar support systems are expected to cope.
In a decisive move, Alina announced a cash reward for anyone providing credible information leading to the identification of the individual responsible for creating the AI-generated video. She said accountability was essential to prevent similar abuse in the future.
Concluding her statement, Alina framed the issue as a defining challenge of the digital age, asserting that no woman should feel pressured to remain silent in the face of false accusations.
