Tickets for the semifinals and final of the ICC Menโs T20 World Cup 2026 went on sale today, with organizers outlining a flexible venue plan for the tournamentโs closing stage. Fans can now secure seats for the first semifinal on March 4, the second semifinal on March 5, and the final on March 8, according to an official statement.
The first semifinal will follow a floating venue arrangement. It will take place either at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo or Eden Gardens in Kolkata, depending on team qualification scenarios. Meanwhile, the second semifinal is scheduled for Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Tournament organizers confirmed that if Pakistan qualify for the semifinals, they will feature in the first semifinal in Colombo on March 4. However, if Pakistan fails to qualify but Sri Lanka advances and faces an opponent other than India, Sri Lanka will take the Colombo slot.
Final venue tied to Pakistan qualification scenario
If neither of those situations materializes, or if India faces Sri Lanka, the first semifinal will shift to Kolkata on the same date. Likewise, the final venue will also depend on outcomes. Should Pakistan reach the title clash, it will be staged in Colombo. Otherwise, the championship match will be played in Ahmedabad.
Importantly, organizers assured fans that ticket holders will receive refunds if they purchase seats for a venue that ultimately does not host the assigned match.
The flexible approach aims to balance logistical planning with high-demand fixtures while ensuring clarity for supporters as knockout scenarios unfold.
