At least three persons who were out celebrating Pakistan’s victory over Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022 were killed as a result of incidents involving aerial firing in Peshawar.
According to the police, a man named Sudais was shot in the head in the neighborhood of Mattani Addezai in the city, which immediately resulted in his passing.
Another victim of the aerial fire at Matni was a man by the name of Khayyam.
The police say that three women were hurt when overhead gunfire occurred in the areas of Kotla Mohsin Khan, Nothing, and Dalazak Road.
Recordings of the incidents involving aerial fire were made from within the confines of several different police stations dispersed across the city.
Officials with the police department have stated that a total of 41 people have been detained for their involvement in the occurrences.
On the other side, the relatives of the person who passed away are demanding that an operation against illicit firearms be carried out throughout the city.
During the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup T20 event, Pakistan defeated Afghanistan on September 8 by a score of one wicket to advance to the final round of the competition.
