Japanese opt for good screams in Coffins for Stress relief

Kowagarasetai, a Japanese production house opened a ‘15 minutes horror house’ wherein one person enters a ‘haunted room’ and is put in a 2 meters windowed coffin, watching actors perform a horror story with realistic audio and visuals as if the person himself is a part of it and to make the entire experience more realistic, the spectator in the coffin is poked, shakes and sprayed with water (for depiction of blood). Kenta Iwana, production coordinator says this was initially started to distract people from the pandemic stress with a good scare as a relief,

“The pandemic is stressful, and we hope people can get a bit of relief by having a good scream,”

says the coordinator of Production Company, Kowagarasetai.
