LAHORE: Stage actress Nargis and her husband, Majid Bashir, have reconciled, leading to the withdrawal of Majid’s interim bail petition from the Lahore District and Sessions Court.
An additional sessions judge presided over the hearing, during which the defense argued that the case filed by Nargis was based on false allegations. The petition emphasized that the matter was a domestic dispute between the couple and requested interim bail for Majid.
During the proceedings, both parties submitted a reconciliation agreement to the court. Nargis’ lawyer stated that the couple’s elders had intervened to mediate the dispute, and Nargis forgave her husband upon their request.
The agreement included assurances that neither party would breach the terms of the settlement. Following the reconciliation, Majid Bashir withdrew his interim bail application, leading the court to dismiss the request.
Previously, Nargis had filed an assault case against her husband at the Defence C Police Station.
