In an extraordinary display of cross-border camaraderie, the Pakistan men’s cricket team commenced their journey from Bengaluru to Kolkata for a crucial ICC World Cup 2023 match against England.

Indian Airlines orchestrated this touching moment, illuminating the interior of their chartered flight with vibrant green lights to honor the “Men in Green” and their recent victory.

The ‘Men in Green’ had every reason to rejoice, riding the wave of their monumental win against New Zealand in the previous match. This victory not only filled them with boundless enthusiasm but also solidified their position in the race for a spot in the competition’s final four.

In their last encounter, Pakistan exhibited remarkable resilience and skill, securing a 21-run victory over New Zealand according to the DLS method. The match took place at the iconic M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, India, and was briefly interrupted by inclement weather when the ‘Green Shirts’ were dominating at 200-1 in just 25.3 overs. The dynamic duo of Fakhar Zaman (126*) and the captain, Babar Azam (66*), held their ground.

Fakhar Zaman emerged as the hero with his explosive batting, achieving the fastest century for Pakistan in a World Cup match, completing the feat in just 63 balls, etching his name in cricket history.
