The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released the official anthem for the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 9), titled “Khul Ke Khel.” The anthem, composed, produced, and written by Ali Zafar, features the renowned singer alongside Aima Baig. The accompanying video showcases snippets from the previous edition involving the six franchises.
PSL 9 is scheduled to commence on February 17 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium with a match between Lahore Qalandars, two-time champions and the current titleholders, and Islamabad United, winners of the 2016 and 2018 PSL seasons.
The tournament will be hosted in four cities—Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi—culminating in the final at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18. The competition, featuring six teams, will consist of 34 T20 matches.
During the tournament, Karachi will host 11 matches, including the Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the final. Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi will each host nine matches. Multan, renowned as the city of saints, will witness five matches.
Ticket prices for the mega event, available since February 6, are set at Rs6,000 (VIP), Rs3,000 (Premium), Rs2,000 (First class), and Rs1,000 (General). For the final on March 18 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, ticket prices are Rs8,000 (VIP), Rs4,000 (Premium), Rs2,500 (First class), and Rs1,000 (General).
Qualifier tickets are priced at Rs5,000 (VIP), Rs2,500 (Premium), Rs1,500 (First class), and Rs750 (General). Eliminator tickets are set at Rs5,000 (VIP), Rs3,000 (Premium), Rs1,500 (First class), and Rs750 (General).
