ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hosted a dinner for the teams of England and Pakistan on Monday night.
PM Shehbaz congratulated the visiting team for their victory against Pakistan in the first test match at Rawalpindi which concluded on Monday afternoon.
Premier said, “This is a historic moment, as after 17 years, we are having English team in Pakistan.”

Unfortunately, he said, England’s last visit was in 2005 when Pakistan was experiencing extremism amid terrorist attacks.
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan enjoys ideal bilateral ties with Britain at different levels, including cricket.
PM Shehbaz expressed hope that the England cricket team’s current visit would go a long way in further strengthening ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
Premier thanked the British High Commissioner and British government for supporting Pakistan cricket series.
Prime Minister also paid tribute to country cricket legends _ Fazal Mahmood, the hero of Oval and Hanif Mohammad, known as Little Master.
