Pakistan Secures Two Medals in European Bodybuilding Debut

KARACHI: In a remarkable feat, Pakistani bodybuilders clinched two medals at the prestigious 3rd European Bodybuilding Championship held in Budapest, Hungary.

Marking its debut in the tournament, Pakistan made an indelible mark as Arsalan Baig secured the silver medal in the Sports Physique category, while Shehzad Qureshi claimed the bronze in the Bodybuilding category.

Sohail Anwar, the General Secretary of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation (PBBF), extended his heartfelt congratulations to the victorious athletes and all participants for their dedication and outstanding performance.

Ambassador Asif Hussain Memon of Pakistan to Hungary also lauded the achievements of the Pakistani bodybuilders, emphasizing their hard work and determination.

The championship, meticulously organized and overseen by the Hungarian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (HBPSF), garnered significant support from the government of Hungary.

Commencing on May 18th, the tournament saw Pakistani bodybuilders depart for Europe on May 16th, marking a monumental milestone in their sporting journey.

Expressing delight at Pakistan’s inaugural participation in the championship, Anwar emphasized the historic significance of this venture into European territory, thanking the government of Hungary for facilitating this opportunity.

Pakistan’s prowess in bodybuilding extends beyond European shores, with notable successes in championships sanctioned by the World Bodybuilding and Physique Federation (WBPF), Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Federation (ABBF), and the South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Federation (SABBF) in Asia.

With a remarkable tally of 97 medals in these competitions, the PBBF takes pride in its athletes’ accomplishments and remains optimistic about their continued success on the global stage, ensuring the nation’s enduring legacy in the realm of competitive bodybuilding.

At its core, bodybuilding entails rigorous training, strict dietary discipline, and adequate rest, all aimed at sculpting a balanced and muscular physique that captivates judges and spectators alike on the international stage.
