Mohammad Amir Grateful to Higher Power as He Returns to Cricket After Four Years

Mohammad Amir

Mohammad Amir, Pakistan’s celebrated fast bowler, has publicly expressed his gratitude towards a higher power as he prepares for a much-anticipated return to international cricket after a hiatus of nearly four years.

On the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Amir posted a heartfelt message accompanied by a photo of himself donned in the Pakistan cricket jersey. His post, which began with a phrase of humility and gratitude, “Shuru Allah Ka name le kar. Alhumdulilah,” translates to “Starting in the name of Allah. All praise to Allah,” reflecting his emotional readiness and spiritual gratitude as he steps back into the cricketing arena.

Amir’s last appearance for Pakistan was in a T20 International match against England on August 30, 2020.

His return is scheduled for April 18, where he will represent Pakistan in the first of five T20Is against New Zealand at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. This series is highly anticipated by fans eager to see Amir’s return to form on the home ground.

In addition to the excitement surrounding Amir’s comeback, there are significant developments concerning the coaching staff of the Pakistan national cricket team.

It has been revealed that the announcement of foreign coaches for the team will follow the conclusion of the upcoming home series against New Zealand.

Inside sources have shared that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has concluded its evaluations and selections for these pivotal roles.

Gary Kirsten, a reputed former South African cricketer and coach, is expected to be named the white-ball coach, bringing his extensive experience and strategic acumen to the team.

Meanwhile, Australian cricket veteran Jason Gillespie is set to take over as the red-ball coach.

These appointments are part of PCB’s broader strategy to integrate international expertise with local talent to enhance the team’s performance across different formats of the game.

The recruitment doesn’t stop with foreign coaches; local coaches along with other sports staff are also being carefully selected to support the team.

This holistic approach to staffing aims to fortify Pakistan cricket’s infrastructure and enrich the training and development of its players.

As the cricket community looks forward to these developments, the focus is palpably shifting towards a renewed and robust framework for Pakistan cricket, heralded by Mohammad Amir’s return and the strategic induction of seasoned coaches.

Fans, players, and officials alike are optimistic that these changes will usher in a new era of success and revitalization for the national team.
