Ihsanullah Signs with Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 10

PSL 10

Peshawar – April 11, 2025: Fast bowler Ihsanullah has officially joined Peshawar Zalmi for the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), as confirmed by the franchise just hours before the tournament’s opening ceremony.

The announcement was made via Zalmi’s official Instagram account on Friday, where the franchise welcomed the right-arm pacer to the #YellowStorm family under the supplementary players category. “Right Arm Fast Bowler @ihsanullah.50 joins the #YellowStorm in Supplementary Category for #HBLPSLX,” read the post.

Rumors surrounding Ihsanullah’s potential switch from Multan Sultans to Peshawar Zalmi had been circulating for weeks, particularly after he was seen donning the Zalmi training jersey at a pre-tournament camp. The speculations have now been put to rest with the official confirmation of his addition to the squad.

Ihsanullah rose to prominence during the 2023 edition of the PSL, where he delivered a standout performance for Multan Sultans, claiming 22 wickets and becoming one of the top bowlers of the tournament.

His fiery pace and sharp bounce made him an instant fan favorite and a valuable asset in Pakistan’s fast bowling lineup.

Following his success, Ihsanullah made his T20 International debut for Pakistan in March 2023. However, his budding international career was briefly halted due to an elbow injury sustained during his One Day International (ODI) debut against New Zealand in April the same year. He was sidelined for a considerable period, undergoing rehabilitation and recovery.

In 2024, he made a comeback in the domestic circuit during the Champions T20 Cup, showcasing signs of regaining form.

Despite his return to competitive cricket, Multan Sultans opted not to retain or pick him during the PSL 10 draft, paving the way for his inclusion by Peshawar Zalmi.

The 10th season of PSL kicks off today with a grand opening ceremony at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, followed by the opening clash between defending champions Islamabad United and two-time winners Lahore Qalandars.

The tournament will feature 34 matches, culminating in the final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on May 18, 2025.
