ISLAMABAD: The winners of the 2025 ICC Men’s Champions Trophy will receive $2.24 million from a total prize pool of $6.9 million, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Friday.
According to the ICC, the tournament runners-up will earn $1.12 million, while the losing semi-finalists will each receive $560,000, marking a 53% increase from the 2017 edition.
In the group stage, each win will be valued at $34,000. Teams finishing in fifth and sixth place will receive $350,000 each, while seventh and eighth place finishers will earn $140,000. All eight participating teams are guaranteed $125,000 for competing.
The tournament, set to take place in Pakistan for the first time since 1996, will run from February 19 to March 9, with matches held in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. India will compete in Dubai.
The competition will feature eight teams split into two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
ICC Chairman Jay Shah stated that the event showcases the pinnacle of ODI cricket and underscores the ICC’s ongoing commitment to investing in the sport.
