Spencer Pratt, the former reality TV star known for his role on MTV’s The Hills, has shared notable financial gains from TikTok following the recent destruction of his Malibu home in a devastating fire.
Despite the hardship, Pratt has garnered significant support from his fans as he documents the rebuilding process alongside his wife, Heidi Montag.
In an interview with Variety, Pratt revealed that he earned $4,000 from regular TikTok videos and an additional $20,000 from TikTok Live streams, where followers can donate directly. He described the earnings as “phenomenal and life-changing” and expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support.
Since the fire, Pratt’s TikTok following has surged by one million new followers, effectively doubling his audience as fans rallied around him and Montag. Montag’s 2010 song, “I’ll Do It,” has also experienced a resurgence in popularity, with fans and former co-stars streaming it to show support for the couple.
Although Pratt admitted to “faking positivity” during this challenging period, he remains hopeful about the future. With the Palisades fire still only partially contained, many in Southern California are facing recovery, and influencers like Pratt are taking an active role in fundraising efforts to assist those in need.
