ISLAMABAD, June 25 โ Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistanโs readiness for meaningful dialogue with India on all unresolved issues โ including Jammu and Kashmir, water, trade, and terrorism โ during a cordial phone conversation on Tuesday with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman.
The Prime Minister expressed deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its consistent support during Pakistanโs periods of heightened tension with India.
Support for Middle East Peace Efforts
During the call, both leaders also exchanged views on the fast-changing situation in the Middle East. Prime Minister Sharif voiced Pakistanโs strong support for the de-escalation of the Iran-Israel conflict, urging all parties to prioritize diplomacy over confrontation.
Referring to recent military escalations in the region, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of adhering to international law and the principles of the UN Charter. He reaffirmed Pakistanโs unwavering support for Saudi Arabiaโs sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of regional tensions.
Warm Diplomatic Exchange
In a conversation described as warm and cordial, Prime Minister Sharif extended heartfelt greetings and deep respect to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
He congratulated Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the successful completion of this yearโs Hajj pilgrimage and thanked the Kingdom for its hospitality toward Pakistani pilgrims.
Praising the Crown Princeโs leadership, Prime Minister Sharif lauded Saudi Arabiaโs efforts in promoting regional peace and stability, saying it underscores the Kingdomโs influential role on the global stage and within the Muslim Ummah.
Saudi Appreciation for Pakistanโs Support
In response, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman thanked the Prime Minister for his expression of solidarity. He appreciated Pakistanโs constructive stance on the Iran-Israel conflict and reiterated Saudi Arabiaโs commitment to fostering lasting peace in the Middle East.
