KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: Shahid Afridi, former Pakistan team captain and Quetta Gladiators all-rounder today tested positive for coronavirus ahead of PSL’s first match in Karachi between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings today in the National Stadium.
The cricket legend Afridi has quarantined at home following the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) protocols and will be reintegrated into the squad seven days after quarantine and negative test of the Covid.

Afridi went to a hospital on Jan 26, 2022, after seeking permission from the team management and today he was tested positive.
Shahid Afridi said he will complete the required three-day quarantine period, after which he will join the squad.

He had asked the franchise management to excuse him from the bio-secure bubble due to personal and health issues.
