Operations Conducted in Several Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Security forces carried out multiple intelligence-based operations in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and killed 13 militants, according to the militaryโs media wing.
The operations were conducted on March 6 and 7. The announcement was made by the Inter-Services Public Relations.
Officials said the operations targeted members of the group referred to as Fitna-ul-Khawarij. Security forces launched the missions after receiving intelligence reports about militant hideouts in several areas.
According to the statement, the operations were carried out in multiple districts. These included Bajaur District, Bannu District, Dera Ismail Khan District, Khyber District and South Waziristan.
The military said these operations were part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in the province. Authorities believe militant groups are trying to reorganise in border areas.
Militant Hideouts Targeted, Weapons Recovered
Security forces first targeted a militant hideout in Bajaur. According to the military, the operation resulted in the killing of five militants.
Separate operations were also carried out in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan. Three militants were killed in those actions.
Further operations were conducted in Khyber District and South Waziristan. During these missions, security forces killed five more militants.
Officials said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed militants. According to the statement, the suspects were involved in several acts of terrorism.
Security officials said the militants had been linked to attacks against security forces and civilians in different parts of the province.
The military added that intelligence-based operations help security forces target militants precisely. These operations reduce the risk to civilians and improve the effectiveness of counter-terrorism efforts.
Authorities believe such missions are necessary to dismantle militant networks operating in remote areas.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their successful operations.
He said the forces once again stopped the dangerous plans of militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

โI salute the security forces for their successful operations against terrorists,โ the minister said in his statement.
He also said militants will not be allowed to hide anywhere in the country.
The interior minister highlighted the difficult conditions faced by security forces. He said maintaining peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is challenging because of the regionโs border with Afghanistan.
Despite these challenges, he said security forces remain committed to restoring stability in the province.
The military also confirmed that operations will continue in different areas of the country. According to the statement, the armed forces remain determined to defend Pakistanโs borders.
Officials said counter-terrorism efforts will continue until all threats to national security are eliminated.
