ISLAMABAD: Pakistani High Commission in India has issued a visa to an Indian senior citizen, who separated from his family 74 years ago during Partition. Sika Khan, an Indian national, would now meet his family members in Pakistan for the second time after their maiden meeting at Kartarpur Corridor.

A few weeks ago, two brothers _ one Pakistani and an Indian, met at Kartarpur after 74 years of separation. The meeting of two brothers (now senior citizens) went viral on social media as Sika Khan requested the Pakistan government to grant him visa so he could spend some time with his family members he lost 74 years ago during Partition in 1947.

“Today, Pakistan High Commission issues visa to Sika Khan to visit his brother, Mohammed Siddique, and other family members in Pakistan,” said an official announcement made on Twitter on Friday.
The two brothers, separated in 1947, were recently reunited after 74 years at the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor.
A video of the siblings’ meeting each other at the Kartarpur Corridor with happiness and tears in eyes had gone viral on social media. In fact, the Kartarpur Corridor has become a point for meeting many people who were separated during the Partition in 1947.
