WhatsApp Begins Global Rollout of Favorite Chats and Groups Feature

Good news for WhatsApp users! The much-anticipated feature allowing you to mark favorite chats and groups is now being rolled out.

Previously announced by Meta, this update is finally here, enhancing your messaging experience.

As reported by WABetaInfo, the latest update for WhatsApp on iOS, version 24.16.79, has been released on the App Store. This update confirms that the long-awaited favorites feature is now being made available to a broader audience.

According to the official changelog, users can now add their favorite contacts and groups to a dedicated section that appears at the top of the calls tab and as a filter in the chats list. To use this feature, simply navigate to the app settings and access the favorites section.

From there, you can easily add contacts and groups to your favorites list, which will then be prominently displayed for quicker access. Users also have the flexibility to manage their favorites by rearranging, adding, or removing entries as needed.

Additionally, the update introduces a revamped calling user interface (UI). The new UI features updated controls designed to be more intuitive and user-friendly, aiming to improve the overall reliability of the calling feature.

If you don’t see these features immediately, don’t worry. The rollout may be staggered, and some accounts might receive the update over the coming weeks.

Keep an eye on your app updates to ensure you’re among the first to enjoy these new enhancements.
