Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has officially launched the Galaxy Z TriFold, a groundbreaking addition to its foldable smartphone lineup, aimed at redefining mobile experiences in the AI era.
Building on a decade of innovation in foldable devices, Galaxy Z TriFold combines advanced engineering, premium performance, and portability. The device features a slim profile that unfolds twice to reveal an immersive 10-inch main display, ideal for productivity, multitasking, and cinematic viewing.
TM Roh, Samsung’s CEO and Head of Device eXperience Division, highlighted the device as a solution to the long-standing challenge of balancing portability with premium performance. He emphasized that the Galaxy Z TriFold expands possibilities for work, creativity, and connection while pushing the boundaries of mobile technology.
Designed with users in mind, Galaxy Z TriFold employs an inward-folding mechanism to protect the main display, coupled with advanced hinges, reinforced displays, and high-quality materials like titanium hinge housing and Advanced Armor Aluminum.
At just 3.9 mm at its thinnest point, the device houses a 5,600 mAh three-cell battery with 45W super-fast charging, alongside flagship-level performance powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy and a 200 MP main camera.
The device’s large 10-inch screen enhances multitasking, allowing three apps to run side by side, supported by Samsung DeX for a full portable workstation experience.
Galaxy AI enhances creative and productivity tools, including Photo Assist, Generative Edit, Sketch to Image, and Gemini Live for contextual, multimodal AI interactions. Users can perform tasks, receive recommendations, and manage content seamlessly on the expansive display.
Galaxy Z TriFold also delivers an immersive viewing experience with Dynamic 2X AMOLED displays, 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, and Vision Booster for optimal color and contrast. Its compact foldable form ensures portability while offering cinematic quality.
The device will launch first in Korea on December 12, 2025, followed by China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the UAE, with a U.S. release planned for Q1 2026. Select customers will benefit from a six-month Google AI Pro trial, 2TB cloud storage, and a 50% discount on one-time display repairs.
