Samsung’s Fan Edition lineup may soon get a small but meaningful boost. According to a new rumor from Galaxy Club, the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE could finally receive a 12MP front-facing camera, marking a long-overdue upgrade for selfie lovers.
Galaxy S25 FE Selfie Camera Could Match Flagships
The “FE” (Fan Edition) series is known for offering a balanced mix of features at a more affordable price, often borrowing select elements from Samsung’s flagship phones. If this rumor proves accurate, the Galaxy S25 FE’s 12MP selfie camera would be on par—at least on paper—with the standard Galaxy S25 models.
That said, expectations should remain realistic. While a higher megapixel count may result in better selfies, image quality will still depend on sensor size, processing, and software tuning. Samsung’s recent flagship front cameras are solid but not groundbreaking, so the FE version may deliver a similar, dependable experience rather than a major leap.
Rear Cameras and Performance: Still a Question Mark
Details about the rear camera setup remain unclear. The Galaxy S24 FE featured a familiar triple-camera system: a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and 8MP telephoto. Samsung typically sticks with proven hardware, so major changes here seem unlikely.
On the performance side, previous rumors suggest Samsung may opt for MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset instead of its own Exynos processor due to production challenges. If true, this could give the S25 FE a notable performance boost, as the Dimensity 9400 is expected to rival Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite.
For now, the Galaxy S25 FE is shaping up to be a modest but welcome refinement rather than a radical upgrade.
