Actor clarifies during Bigg Boss 19 episode: Says success and failure rest on destiny, not influence
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has firmly rejected long-standing allegations that he has ruined careers in the Indian film industry. The 58-year-old actor dismissed such claims as baseless, stressing that destiny, not individuals, determines professional success.
Clarification on Bigg Boss 19
Salman’s remarks came during the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19, where host Shahnaz Gill introduced her brother Shahbaz Badisha as a wild card contestant. During the conversation, Gill praised Salman for launching and mentoring new talents in Bollywood, suggesting he could play a similar role in shaping her brother’s career.
Salman, however, quickly clarified his stance.
Salman Denies Power Over Careers
“I am not responsible for making or ruining anyone’s career,” Salman said. He added, “People often accuse me of destroying lives in the industry, but in reality, I cannot even ruin my own. The one above decides everything.”
The actor emphasized that while he has supported many newcomers over the years, their long-term success lies in their dedication and abilities. He stressed that no single person holds the power to control another’s journey in the film industry.
Talent, Hard Work, and Destiny
Over his decades-long career, Salman Khan has been credited with mentoring several young actors who later made their mark in Bollywood. However, he insisted that recognition and survival in the competitive industry rely on talent, hard work, and fate.
The superstar’s remarks aim to settle years of speculation that he wields undue influence over careers. By attributing success and failure to higher powers and personal effort, Salman sought to close the debate on accusations of favoritism or sabotage.
