Renowned Pakistani actress Saba Qamar, celebrated for her impactful performances in the Bollywood film Hindi Medium and numerous acclaimed Pakistani dramas, was recently hospitalised in Rawalpindi following a sudden health emergency.
The incident reportedly occurred while she was on set, filming for an upcoming project. According to media reports circulating on various Pakistani entertainment portals, Saba collapsed unexpectedly during the shoot. The filming was immediately suspended, and the production team rushed her to a nearby hospital where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Medical sources indicated that her condition was critical upon arrival, prompting doctors to perform emergency procedures, including an angiography. The situation was deemed potentially life-threatening, and the swift medical response was credited with stabilising her condition.
While the exact nature of the cardiac issue has not been officially confirmed, insiders suggest that extreme physical and emotional stress might have played a significant role. It is believed that the actress had been working tirelessly on a high-profile project, with minimal rest, which may have severely impacted her health.
Fortunately, after receiving timely treatment and spending some time under close observation, Saba’s condition improved. She was later transferred from the ICU to a general ward and has now been discharged from the hospital. Her doctors have strictly advised her to take complete rest for several weeks and avoid any work-related stress during her recovery period.
Following her discharge, Saba took to Instagram to share a reassuring message with her fans. Posting a photo from her hospital bed, she expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and prayers she received.
She playfully added that she’s not going anywhere and promised to return with more energy and excitement. Her post was met with an outpouring of affection and support from fans and fellow actors across social media, all wishing her a swift and complete recovery.
This recent health scare is not the first for Saba, as she had previously faced a hospitalisation earlier this year. On the professional front, Saba Qamar is set to appear in the upcoming drama series Pamaal, where she will portray the role of Malika opposite Usman Mukhtar.
The series, written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and directed by Khizer Idrees, features a strong supporting cast including Adnan Jaffer and Annie Zaidi. Produced by Tehreem Chaudhary, the drama is expected to premiere in the near future.
