ISLAMABAD: Russian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Alexei Sisyoev has expressed his country’s willingness to provide artificial intelligence (AI) technology to Pakistan.
Rear Admiral Sisyoev, Commander of the Russian Navyโs Primorskaya Flotilla of the Pacific Fleet, confirmed Russia’s readiness to share its expertise in AI technologies with Pakistan. โRussia is always prepared to share these experiences with Pakistan,โ he stated when asked about potential collaboration on AI.
The admiral highlighted Russia’s close observation of Pakistan’s peacekeeping operations and acknowledged the growing international participation in these exercises. โThe number of countries and delegates in peace exercises is increasing over time, which demonstrates their significance,โ he remarked.
Rear Admiral Sisyoev emphasized the value of joint naval exercises, noting that they reveal shared challenges in maritime security among nations. โPractically all countries face similar issues in maritime security, and such problems should be addressed collectively through dialogue,โ he added.
Addressing the role of AI in global security, he commented, โItโs not just about Russia and Ukraine. If AI technologies are being deployed worldwide, it is invaluable to gain insights from a country directly encountering such threats.โ
He also disclosed that Pakistan’s military command is planning an upcoming visit to Russia. โDuring this visit, they will have the opportunity to observe and understand ongoing developments,โ he revealed.
