From first meeting to growing bond
Rushna revealed that she first met Shahzeb Khanzada in 2013 while attending her brother’s wedding in Pakistan. At the time, she was studying filmmaking at Toronto Film School and working on a documentary as her final project. Shahzeb, who already had a friendly connection with her family, assisted her with the project after the wedding. She emphasized that their early interactions were strictly professional, with no thoughts of dating or marriage, as they stayed in touch purely for project-related reasons.
Love blossoms across continents
After completing her studies, Rushna moved to Dubai to work with Emirates Airline. She recalled that whenever Shahzeb visited Dubai for PSL matches, they would meet, gradually strengthening their bond. Over time, their friendship evolved into a romantic relationship, eventually leading to marriage.
A new lifestyle after marriage
Reflecting on the changes post-marriage, Rushna said settling in Karachi brought a significant shift in her lifestyle. She explained that before marriage, her life was filled with travel and professional commitments, whereas now she spends more time at home, embracing a calmer routine.
