The latest ICC player rankings reveal significant movements across all formats, with India’s Rohit Sharma returning to the summit of ODI batting and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza achieving a career-defining milestone.
Raza Reaches T20I All-Rounder Pinnacle
At 39 years old, Sikandar Raza has claimed the top T20I all-rounder ranking for the first time in his 13-year international career. His consistent performances during the tri-series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka proved decisive, despite Zimbabwe’s challenging results.
Raza’s latest contribution featured a brisk 37 runs and an economical four-over spell against Sri Lanka, enough to overtake Pakistan’s Saim Ayub. The Zimbabwe captain has maintained top-10 status since the 2022 T20 World Cup and currently holds second place in ODI all-rounder rankings.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz advanced to seventh among T20I all-rounders, while batsman Sahibzada Farhan surged eight positions to fourth in batting rankings. Former captain Babar Azam also gained five spots to reach 29th.
Rohit Returns to ODI Summit
Rohit Sharma regained the number one ODI batting position after New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell missed crucial matches due to injury. West Indies captain Shai Hope jumped to eighth following his unbeaten century, while Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway made significant gains for New Zealand.
Test Cricket Movements
Australia’s Travis Head climbed to sixth in Test batting after his match-winning Perth performance against England. Mitchell Starc achieved career-best ratings, rising to fifth among bowlers with outstanding figures.
Bangladesh dominated Ireland, with Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das, and Mominul Haque all advancing substantially. Taijul Islam reached 15th in bowling rankings, while England’s Ben Stokes moved to second in Test all-rounders behind Ravindra Jadeja.
