ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, instructed the Pakistan Hajj Mission to ensure the prompt distribution of Nusuk Cards to all pilgrims upon their arrival in Saudi Arabia.
Chairing a high-level meeting, the minister confirmed that all 2,800 pilgrims who traveled from Madinah to Makkah have successfully received their Nusuk Cards.
Officials briefed the minister that additional buses have been deployed to streamline pilgrim transportation to Masjid Al-Haram, enhancing mobility and reducing wait times.
The distribution of Nusuk Cards is being managed with the support of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), which is operating around the clock to provide data and logistical assistance for the smooth facilitation of Hajj pilgrims.
The meeting was attended by DG Hajj Mission Abdul Wahab Soomro, Chief Coordinator Dr. Mirza Ali Mehsud, Director Makkah Azizullah Khan, Coordinator Zulfiqar Khan, and other senior officials.
The development comes as part of broader efforts by the Pakistani and Saudi authorities to improve the Hajj experience, including the expansion of the ‘Road to Makkah’ initiative and the successful commencement of Hajj flight operations.
