Hajj 2026
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially begun the mandatory registration process for Hajj 2026, which will continue until July 9. All individuals intending to perform Hajj next year must complete their registration within this timeframe in order to be eligible.
This year, for the first time, the ministry has made registration compulsory for both government and private Hajj schemes. This requirement also extends to Pakistanis living abroad who wish to perform the pilgrimage through Pakistani arrangements.
The Ministry clarified that the registration process is free of charge. No fee will be collected at the time of registration. Interested individuals can complete their registration at any of the 15 designated banks located across the country.
Once registered, pilgrims will be able to choose whether they wish to proceed under the government-sponsored Hajj scheme or through a private tour operator. However, only those who have completed the mandatory registration by July 9 will be eligible to make this choice and proceed with further arrangements.
Additionally, the ministry emphasized that individuals who applied under the private Hajj scheme in 2025 but were unable to perform the pilgrimage must also register again for Hajj 2026 if they still wish to go. Failure to register within the given deadline will result in disqualification from the process.
Officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs explained that the purpose of this early registration is to compile accurate data, which must be shared with the Saudi government. Saudi authorities require each participating country to submit details to determine national Hajj quotas well in advance.
Further information regarding Hajj 2026 — including package costs, facilities, accommodation details, and travel arrangements — will be released with the announcement of the official Hajj policy in the coming months.
The ministry has urged all intending pilgrims to complete the registration process on time to ensure their eligibility and facilitate smooth arrangements for the upcoming pilgrimage.
