Pakistani Attacks
Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain has made a significant claim regarding the recent military confrontation between Pakistan and India, stating that around 200 Indian soldiers were killed in precision strikes carried out by the Pakistan Army.
His remarks came during a press interaction on the occasion of “Youm-e-Tashakur” (Thanksgiving Day), which was observed across the country to celebrate what many in Pakistan hailed as a resounding military and diplomatic success.
Speaking to journalists in Sharaqpur, where the celebrations featured drumbeats, fireworks, and enthusiastic public gatherings, Rana Tanveer praised the armed forces for their swift and effective response to Indian aggression. He highlighted that the Pakistan Army’s operations had not only safeguarded the nation’s sovereignty but also inflicted substantial losses on the Indian military.
“The Indian government, after facing a powerful and coordinated military response from Pakistan, was compelled to reach out to the United States for mediation,” Hussain claimed. “Through diplomatic channels and friendly nations, the U.S. conveyed India’s request for a ceasefire to Pakistan.”
The defence minister lauded the performance of the armed forces, saying that Pakistan had successfully sent a clear message to its much larger adversary. “This is a lesson not just for the current Indian leadership but for their future generations as well,” he remarked. “Despite their claims of military superiority, they were forced to back down in the face of Pakistan’s resolve and capability.”
Hussain also indicated that peace talks between India and Pakistan were on the horizon, with Qatar or the United Arab Emirates (UAE) being considered as possible venues for the dialogue. He emphasized that the path to lasting peace would require sincerity and restraint from both sides.
Furthermore, he criticized the Indian media for what he described as “irresponsible and inflammatory coverage” that escalated tensions. In contrast, he praised the Pakistani media for maintaining professionalism and adhering to factual reporting throughout the conflict.
The minister’s statements come amid heightened nationalistic fervour and a strong wave of support for the Pakistan military. As celebrations unfolded in various cities, citizens expressed relief and pride over what they perceived as a strategic victory that preserved national dignity and regional stability.
