The Meteorological Department has forecast rain in several regions across Pakistan while warning that hot and humid conditions will likely persist in many other areas.
In the federal capital, Islamabad, overcast skies have been reported today, bringing a chance of rain that could offer temporary relief from the prevailing humidity. Meanwhile, most of Punjab is expected to remain largely hot and humid. However, light to moderate showers are likely in areas such as Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, and Attock, offering some respite from the sweltering conditions.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the weather is predicted to stay partly cloudy, with rainfall expected in districts including Dir, Swat, Malakand, Bajaur, and Shangla. These showers may help lower temperatures, though humidity is still likely to remain high.
Across most districts of Sindh and Balochistan, residents should prepare for ongoing hot and humid weather. Nevertheless, scattered rain could occur in parts of Musakhel, Khuzdar, Zhob, and Kalat, which may provide brief cooling spells.
The forecast for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan includes cloudy skies paired with the possibility of rainfall, which could impact local travel and outdoor plans.
Authorities have advised both local departments and the general public to take necessary precautions during this period. The Met Office has specifically warned of potential landslides in hilly and mountainous areas, along with risks of urban flooding in low-lying zones if heavier rain develops. Residents in vulnerable areas are urged to stay updated on local advisories to ensure safety throughout this wet spell.
