Tandoori Roti (bread) prices in Quetta have begun to rise by up to 50 rupees as profiteers taking advantage of the current situation and of those people, who are affected by the recent floods.
The price committee and the district administration seem to be conspiring. They have shut their eyes, leaving the people at the mercy of the unscrupulous tandoor owners.

Sources claim that Quetta has more than 163 tandoors where locals can purchase thousands of rotis each day. Tandoor proprietors secretly raised the cost of tandoori roti by lightening it a week ago.
According to sources, rotis measuring 320 grammes are now being offered for Rs50 rather than Rs25. For 25 or 30 rupees, certain locations in the city offer lighter rotis.
