LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid has tested positive once again for coronavirus, her spokesperson said today, as the Covid pandemic is spreading quickly in the country.
This is the second time in a month that the health minister Dr Yasmin Rashid tested positive for coronavirus. She first tested positive for COVID-19 on January 4, 2022.

Dr Yasmin Rashid and health department spokesperson said the minister was self-isolating and in a good condition so far.
In recent weeks, many Senators, MNAs and MPAs have tested positive for the Covid, including the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin.
The development comes as Pakistan’s COVID-19 positivity ratio remained above 10% for the seventh consecutive day, the National Command and Operation Centre’s (NCOC) data showed Wednesday morning, with the government mulling over more restrictions for cities with high positivity rates.
A few days ago the NCOC tightened the Covid SOPs and issued fresh guidelines which are further being revised to curb Covid penetration in the country.
