The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has officially launched the second phase of its Agriculture Graduate Internship Program 2025. This initiative offers fresh graduates the opportunity to gain practical experience in agriculture, backed by a substantial monthly stipend of Rs60,000.
Organized under the supervision of the Punjab Agriculture Department, this program aims to bridge the gap between theoretical agricultural education and practical field application. A total of 2,000 internship slots are available for eligible candidates across all districts of Punjab.
Empowering Youth, Strengthening Agriculture
The program is part of the government’s broader strategy to modernize the agricultural sector and empower the youth with job-ready skills. The first phase of the internship, which received overwhelming positive feedback, demonstrated the impact such initiatives can have on both individual career development and agricultural productivity.
“This isn’t just financial aid, it’s a launchpad into the professional world of agriculture,” a department official noted. “By combining education with real-world exposure, we’re investing in both the youth and the future of farming in Punjab.”
