LAHORE: The Punjab cabinet is set for expansion as 12 Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) have been shortlisted for inclusion. PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif has approved the list, which includes both senior and junior lawmakers to ensure balanced representation.
Prominent figures among the nominees are Begum Zakia Shahnawaz, Rana Muhammad Iqbal, and Manshaullah Butt. Others considered for cabinet positions include Colonel (Retd) Ayub Gadhi, Salman Naeem, Rana Tahir Iqbal, and Iftikhar Hussain Chhachhar.
The list also features Ahmed, Rana Muhammad Arshad, Malik Asad Ali Khokhar, Mian Imran Javed, and Osama Khan Leghari.
Additionally, Shoaib Siddiqui from the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) has been shortlisted, reflecting a coalition-based approach.
Sources indicate the new cabinet members are likely to take oath later this week, finalizing the long-awaited expansion of the Punjab cabinet.
