A crucial session of PTI-nominated independents, elected as members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, has been summoned in Peshawar today at the Speaker’s House. Chaired by Ali Amin Gandapur, the session addresses key issues related to government formation in the province.
Ali Amin Gandapur, nominated as the next Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, will lead discussions on the government’s formation and crucial policy matters. The session holds significant importance as the PTI-supported independents secured a landslide victory in KP during the February 8 election.
The decision to appoint Ali Amin Gandapur as PTI’s founder was announced to the KP CM during an informal media talk in Adiala Jail. Gandapur’s political journey, rooted in the PTI, began with his election to the provincial assembly in 2013. He emerged victorious in the 2018 general elections, securing a seat in the National Assembly from Constituency NA-38 (Dera Ismail Khan-I).
Gandapur’s political experience includes serving as the provincial revenue minister in the first PTI government in KP. Moreover, he has contributed significantly as the Kashmir Affairs minister in former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s cabinet.
The session is poised to address critical matters concerning governance, policy initiatives, and strategies to address the diverse challenges faced by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As the province navigates through its political landscape, the assembly’s deliberations under Gandapur’s leadership are expected to shape the course of governance and development in the region.
