ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday approved a summary to convene a joint sitting of parliament next week (March 2, 2026). It marks the formal commencement of the new parliamentary year in 2026.
The joint session of the parliament will begin at 3 pm in Parliament House.
The Constitution requires the president to summon a joint sitting at the start of each parliamentary year. Accordingly, the upcoming session will bring together members of both the National Assembly and the Senate to begin legislative business for 2026.
