Royal Rift Deepens Amid Claims of King Charles’ Weakness
In a dramatic twist within the British monarchy, Prince William has reportedly “seized control” of the Royal Family, according to royal expert Dan Wootton. The claim comes amid growing speculation that King Charles’ leniency toward Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle has jeopardized the monarchy’s stability.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Wootton declared, “Prince William has seized control of the British Royal Family. While I have genuine sympathy for the monarch on a personal level, his weakness over Andrew—not to mention Harry and Meghan—has imperilled the future of the monarchy. His heir knows that.”
The remarks have sparked intense debate over a potential power shift within the royal household, suggesting that William may be taking a more assertive role as future king.
In a YouTube video cited by Newsweek, Wootton issued a stern warning to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, saying, “A precedent has been set. A monarch can now remove a Duke title and even a princely title. So Harry and Meghan should be afraid. Very afraid. Because trust me—it’s now a matter of when, not if, the same thing happens to them.”
This follows recent reports that King Charles has been under mounting pressure to reassess royal titles and privileges, especially in light of public backlash surrounding Prince Andrew’s controversies and the Sussexes’ estrangement from royal duties.
Meanwhile, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told TalkTV that the possibility of Harry and Meghan being stripped of their titles is very real. “I think so,” she said. “I think you should watch this space, because the King has shown us within the last 24 hours how easy it can be.”
The escalating royal tensions signal a new phase in the ongoing power struggle inside Buckingham Palace, with Prince William emerging as the firm hand guiding the monarchy’s next chapter.
