Shehbaz and Zardari to Consult Allies on Upcoming Legislation

As the ruling alliance approaches a pivotal week for parliamentary legislation, both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are taking steps to ensure their allies are fully informed and supportive.

To foster cooperation and alignment, Shehbaz Sharif will host a luncheon, while Asif Ali Zardari is expected to hold a reception later in the evening.

Invitations have been extended to key leaders from the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), and Muttahid Qaumi Movement (MQM) for both events.

Additionally, Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI) officials have also been invited.

During these gatherings, Prime Minister Sharif is anticipated to brief lawmakers on upcoming economic reforms. The discussions will also cover significant legislative proposals, including bills aimed at increasing the number of judges.

These legislative measures are crucial as they will impact the judiciary and potentially reshape key aspects of governance.

The coordination effort reflects the ruling alliance’s strategy to build consensus and ensure smooth passage of their legislative agenda in the coming days.
