LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz today left for London on a private visit.
He left for the United Kingdom on August 4 (Thursday) from Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore on a private airline’s flight.
According to sources, during his stay in London, Hamza Shehbaz will spend time with his family. The deposed chief minister of Punjab will also meet deposed Prime Minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in London.
Pertinent to mention is that Hamza has been removed from the post of Punjab’s chief minister after the Supreme Court’s verdict in the chief minister’s election. The PML-N and its allies are now sitting on the opposition benches of the Punjab Assembly.
The 3-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by chief justice Umar Ata Bandial declared unlawful ruling of deputy speaker of Punjab Assembly, resultantly, Pervez Elahi became the chief minister who secured 186 votes against 179 of Hamza Shehbaz.
