PTI rejects FIR of assassination attempt on Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has rejected the FIR registered in Wazirabad police station against the assassination attempt on the life of Imran Khan.

Through Twitter, PTI said that the party the FIR registered which does not include the three names pointed out by PTI chief Imran Khan will not be acceptable.

PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that PTI has already made it clear that if the names of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a senior army officer and Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah are not included, FIR will not be acceptable for the party and such an FIR will be like a piece of paper.

Meanwhile, Syed Zulfi Bukhari, Former SAPM simply stated “FIR rejected”.

On Monday evening, the Punjab police registered an FIR of the attack, after Supreme Court set a 24 hours deadline and sealed it.

On Nov 4, PTI chairman Imran Khan, Senator Faisal Javed and others sustained bullet injuries in an attempt on the life of Imran Khan.

Punjab police have arrested the main suspect, but did not register the FIR despite the fact Imran Khan blamed PM Shehbaz Sharif, Rana Sanaullah and Major-General Faisal Naseer.

Punjab police will submit the FIR in the Supreme Court which was sealed on Tuesday (today).
