Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori exchanged views on the country’s political and economic challenges during a meeting in London. Mr. Tessori paid a visit to the former prime minister, and both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and the upcoming general elections.
Earlier in the day, former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed that Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N supremo, would return to the country in October. Shehbaz expressed his anticipation regarding Nawaz’s return, stating that the specific date would be announced soon.
Separately, PML-N Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz emphasized Nawaz Sharif’s importance as the “only ray of hope” for the country. She completed the phase of forming organizational committees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and conducted interviews with district youth coordinators.
During this political conversation, Maryam Nawaz asserted KP’s right to progress and criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for alleged resource mismanagement in the province over the last decade. She emphasized that despite the flash floods requiring assistance, KP’s helicopters monitored rallies instead.
The meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Kamran Tessori and the statements made by PML-N leaders highlight the party’s continued engagement with political and economic issues in Pakistan, even from abroad.
