Sardar Latif Khosa
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) took the decision to suspend the party membership of disgruntled leader Sardar Latif Khosa and removed him from its central executive committee (CEC). PPP Secretary General Nayyar Bukhari confirmed this move.
The party made the decision after Sardar Latif Khosa did not respond to a show-cause notice that the party had issued to him the previous week.

On September 14, Khosa received a show-cause notice for his actions related to “defending/pleading and representing the head of another political party without prior approval of party leadership.”
Although the notice did not explicitly mention the individual by name, it clearly referred to the Chairman of the PTI, Imran Khan. Khosa had been representing Imran Khan in various legal cases against him.
Imran Khan also faces a case under the Official Secrets Act, which revolves around a diplomatic document that had reportedly gone missing from his possession. The PTI alleges that this document contained a threat from the United States to remove Imran Khan from power.
The show-cause notice issued to Khosa stated, “As a member of the central executive committee, you have been defending/pleading/representing the head of another political party without prior approval of the leadership. During a speech at a lawyers’ function, you criticized the state policy regarding the cipher.”
The notice further demanded that Khosa explain why he should not face disciplinary action for working against the party’s policies and required a response within seven days, with a warning of potential disciplinary action if he failed to comply.
It is worth noting that Khosa had previously been served with a show-cause notice for making statements in favor of the PTI chief.
