On Monday, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman engaged in a telephonic conversation.

A spokesperson from JUI, informed about the development, stated that the conversation primarily centered around inquiries about Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s well-being, with Nawaz Sharif expressing genuine concern for the JUI chief’s health.

The spokesperson added that both leaders expressed a commitment to addressing national issues through mutual agreement and cooperation.

He stated, “The leaders are determined to solve national problems by mutual agreement.” During the conversation, Mian Nawaz Sharif expressed his desire for an early one-on-one meeting, emphasizing the importance of direct dialogue to address the current political landscape.

The spokesperson further elaborated on the leaders’ dedication to finding common ground and working towards collective solutions.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari declared that the people would surprise the “planners” on February 8, the election day, as a response to their suffering under the “selected” government.

Addressing party supporters in Tharparkar, Sindh, on Monday, he emphasized that the people would not accept any conspiracy and would give a strong response on February 8 to those devising plans behind closed doors.
